I'm a tree-hugger. An environmentalist and proud of it. Now I have a coworker that's right of center and not very environmentally conscious. I drive a Prius and he drives a BMW. I try to maximize MPG and minimize miles driven. He likes to drive fast and races on the weekends. I tend to pester him a bit on the issues and he prefers to ignore them.

While we differ on many views we're both guys. Simple creatures really. He sent me a email with a link to a 2012 calendar for guys that drive fuel efficient cars. Thought others might want a peek. I'm not selling or recommending anything but I did notice that a portion of the proceeds go to the Blue Green Alliance, whatever that is.

Most have high safety ratings but they're probably not as safe as a bigger car. I'm sure they're all a hell of lot safer than what we were driving 20 to 30 years ago.

BTW - I've only had my Prius 2 months but it's great and has a lot more room than you would think.

    Yes it does. Maybe we should try it with wind generators and solar panels. Might work better than trying to reason with the oil addicts.

    I would love to see some turbine manufacturer incorporate something like the art work of 3d windspinners.

    Make the wind turbine a piece of art as well and end this BS about them being an eyesore once and for all.
